A correspondence, not a dashboard

DEAR Anna is one identity you write to. Anna is an AI language model — warm and direct, but not a person, and never a worker who quietly did something on your behalf. Every run is bounded: she proposes, you accept. She cannot sign transactions, spend money, browse the web, or remember anything you have not explicitly saved.

Credits

This app is an independent reimagining of the open-source Anna-Agent concept (commit f8f5f82), which is published under the MIT licence. Its product ideas — one agent identity, typed actions, explicit approval for side effects, scoped memory proposals, execution traces and versioned deliverables — shaped this build. Where code is derived from it, the upstream MIT copyright notice is preserved. No desktop runtime is ported, no arbitrary code is executed, and no closed-source component of that project is reproduced. Benchmark figures from upstream are small synthetic evaluations and are not repeated as claims here.

How your data flows

• Your letters, projects, memories, sources and receipts are stored in this app's database, readable only by your account.
• When you send a letter, the text plus your accepted memories for that project and its attached sources are sent to a hosted language model through Lovable AI. That is not private inference and not end-to-end encrypted.
• Sealing a draft on NEAR publishes only a salted SHA-256 fingerprint. Your wallet address and the transaction are public and permanent; your text, salt, filenames, prompts and email are not published.
• Nothing runs while you are away: rituals run when you press Run.

Shortcuts

• Cmd/Ctrl + K — jump to any drawer or recent letter
• Escape closes any drawer or dialog; Tab moves through every control

You can verify any proof bundle without an account, and export or delete everything from Settings.
